Jewelry Audit
A Luxury Audit for Your Jewelry Collection
Turn a tangled jewelry box into clarity, value, and informed next steps, without guessing, Googling, or selling something you’ll regret later.
Jewelry Audit Sessions
The Jewelry Curator Session is a deep-dive audit of your entire jewelry collection, a luxury-level audit for your jewelry box.
Whether you’ve inherited a family collection, accumulated decades of pieces, or just want to know what’s real and what’s worth something, I’ll guide you through a full assessment of your jewelry. Together, we’ll sort through each piece to identify what’s valuable, what holds sentimental worth, and what’s ready to be sold or repurposed.
By the end, you’ll have a clear picture of your collection, expert insight into potential resale value, and next steps, without the overwhelm.
How it works
I sort, identify, catalog, and estimate the value of everything you own, from costume to fine jewelry, so you can finally answer the questions every jewelry owner has but no one explains clearly:
What’s real vs. costume?
What has resale value vs. sentimental value?
What’s worth appraising, insuring, selling, or redesigning?
And what’s just… taking up space?
This is not an appraisal. This is not a quick glance. This is not a “send me photos, and I’ll guess.”
It’s methodical, documented, and rooted in real market knowledge.
-
You have options, because we’re grown adults with preferences:
In-home session: I come to you, and we go through your collection together. It’s like cocktails at happy hour except with jewelry. Unless you want me to bring the champagne cocktails, I’m always down. (I love to travel, there’s just some extra costs to get me to you.)
Drop-off or shipped collection: you send me everything, yes, even the mystery bag (insured shipping provided). I take the collection off your hands so I can work uninterrupted with proper tools, lighting, and time. This is where the magic actually happens.
-
Your jewelry is separated into clear categories, including:
Costume jewelry (wearable, fun, but low or no resale value)
Vintage or antique costume with collector interest
Fine jewelry, silver, gold, gemstones
Pieces needing further research or professional appraisal
No drama. No judgment. Just facts.
-
Every meaningful piece is logged into a spreadsheet that includes (have I mentioned I love a good spreadsheet? My 2 favorite things - jewelry and spreadsheets):
Metal and gemstone identification
Notes on weight, age, style, or hallmarks
Initial value estimates based on current market knowledge
Flags for pieces worth deeper research or formal appraisal
This is where clients usually say, “Wait… how much?”
(Recent example: $14,771 uncovered in a single mixed bag.)
-
We meet virtually (or in-person if you’re local) to go through everything I found. You’ll leave knowing:
What to keep
What to sell
What to appraise or insure
What to gift, redesign, or let go of guilt-free
This is the part I love most, helping you make smart, confident decisions without pressure.
Selling + Consignment
Selling is optional. Clarity is not.
If you decide to sell, you have options. I sell and/or work with:
High-end fine jewelry sales (typically $1k–$10k+, select pieces only)
Trusted resale partners for pieces outside my selling focus
Alternative options as appropriate
If I handle the sale directly, my commission reflects the full scope of work, photography, video, listings, marketing, and buyer management. If we source it out, I remain your advocate and advisor.
For example, one client who has consigned her collection with me has made $3,694 so far.
Who This Is For
This is for you if:
You inherited jewelry and don’t know what’s valuable
You have decades of pieces and zero organization
You suspect there’s “something good” in there
You want facts before making emotional or financial decisions
You value expertise over quick opinions
This is not for you if you want:
A free valuation
Instant appraisals
Someone to “just sell everything fast”
Investment
Jewelry Curator Sessions start at $495.
Final pricing depends on collection size and complexity. Sessions typically require 4–6+ hours of hands-on work, because this isn’t a surface-level service. It’s a full audit. But a small price to pay when we find thousands of dollars just hidden in boxes and bags.
Your jewelry tells a story.
Some pieces are worth keeping forever.
Some are worth real money.
And some are just ready to move on.
My job is to help you tell the difference, calmly, clearly, and without bullshit.
